Publications Ethics and Misconduct

Range Management and Agroforestry is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and integrity. The journal ensures the credibility and quality of the scholarly work it publishes. All parties involved in the publication process—including authors, editors, reviewers, and publishers—are expected to adhere to the following ethical standards:

Author Responsibilities

  • Originality and Plagiarism: Authors must ensure that submitted work is original and appropriately cites the work and ideas of others. All forms of plagiarism, including self-plagiarism, are strictly prohibited.
  • Data Integrity: Authors are expected to present accurate and verifiable data. Fabrication, falsification, or selective reporting of data is considered misconduct.
  • Multiple Submissions: Manuscripts submitted to Range Management and Agroforestry must not be under consideration elsewhere or previously published, wholly or in part.
  • Authorship: All individuals who have made significant contributions to the research must be listed as co-authors. Consent must be obtained from all co-authors before submission.
  • Conflicts of Interest: Authors must disclose any financial or personal relationships that may influence the research or its interpretation.

Editor Responsibilities

  • Editors are responsible for making impartial publication decisions based on the manuscript’s academic merit and relevance to the journal’s scope.
  • Editors must maintain confidentiality and avoid conflicts of interest in the handling of submissions.
  • The editorial team will actively investigate any allegations of misconduct and take appropriate action, which may include retraction or correction of the published work.

Reviewer Responsibilities

  • Reviewers must conduct objective, constructive, and timely reviews.
  • They are expected to maintain confidentiality and must not use any part of the manuscript for personal gain.
  • Reviewers should disclose any conflicts of interest that could compromise the fairness of the review process.

Misconduct Handling

Any allegations of research or publication misconduct such as plagiarism, data falsification, or unethical research practices will be thoroughly investigated. If misconduct is confirmed, appropriate measures will be taken, including rejection or retraction of the manuscript, notification to affiliated institutions, and banning of the authors from future submissions.
